Film Diary NYC and Millennium Film Workshop are proud to present a look inside the early video archives of Fox Maxy, one of the most exciting voices in contemporary diary filmmaking. The show consists of never before exhibited short videos and clips that Maxy creating while self-teaching herself Premiere and developing a distinct experimental language, influenced by the 15 - 30 second time restriction era of Instagram videos. The show opens on Thursday, 6/29 with a screening of Maxy’s acclaimed 2020 feature San Diego- Multiple perspectives and experiences are pieced together as a response to colonialism and quarantine. How can we keep our communities safe?
